OSHA

This program designed to meet the OSHA training/refresher requirements for veterinary teams and covers the mandatory annual OSHA safety standards specifically required for veterinary hospitals and clinics. It provides clear protocols for managing bloodborne pathogens, understanding hazard communication through SDS, and the correct application of personal protective equipment. Participants will review essential safety measures for animal handling, zoonotic disease prevention, and the mitigation of sharps-related injuries. The course concludes with a review of hospital emergency procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for all veterinary professionals. Contact your manager or training coordinator with questions.  This is included in the compliance membership or can also be purchased for $25/staff member.

Radiation Safety

This program provides veterinary professionals with the essential knowledge and practical protocols for managing radiation safety in a clinical setting. It covers the biological effects of radiation exposure, the fundamental ALARA principle, and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment. You will learn technical skills for proper patient positioning, the clinical decision-making process for sedation versus manual restraint, and the correct use of dosimeter badges to monitor individual exposure levels. The course concludes with a critical summary of prohibited actions to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients. This is included in the compliance membership or can also be purchased for $25/staff member.

Controlled Substances

This program provides veterinary professionals with a clear framework for managing controlled substances within a clinical setting. It covers federal DEA requirements, drug scheduling, and the physical security measures necessary for compliance. You will learn how to maintain accurate logs, manage multi-dose vials, and perform regular inventory audits to prevent diversion. The training also outlines the protocol for reporting losses and preparing for official inspections to ensure the practice remains in good legal standing. This is included in the compliance membership or can also be purchased for $25/staff member.
