Matt Fraga

Catherine Groves, PhD
MSc, PhD
Dr. Catherine Groves brings over a decade of experience in the veterinary field. Her PhD in veterinary epidemiology from the Ontario Veterinary College centred on access to care, Spectrum of Care, Shared Decision-Making, and the communication surrounding care options, like the value of care. During her MSc, Catherine’s work focused on the communication of financial costs between veterinary professionals and pet owners. She believes in the use of evidence-based communication skills to sustain the evidence-based medical care provided by veterinary teams, champion informed consent, and support patient outcomes. Catherine has coached clinical communication, acted as a cheerleader for veterinary professionals, and advised multiple local rescues and national animal welfare charities. In her personal time, Catherine can be found reading with any number of animals on her lap, or in the ocean.
